LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The Seattle Coalition for Family & Relationship Equity (SCFRE) acknowledges that we are located on the unceded
traditional lands of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish Tribe. This acknowledgment serves as
a first step in honoring the occupied land on which we live and as a reminder of our ongoing commitment to
remediate the impacts of colonization by fostering a deeper relationship with the original caretakers of this
land. We commit to engaging in meaningful community partnership that supports and respects the sovereignty of
the Duwamish Tribe and all Coast Salish peoples, and we encourage others to learn about and support these
communities through advocacy, education, and action.
